How to call another component function in angular ( Child > Parent )

Hello,
First, what you need to understand the relationships between components. Then you can choose the right method of communication. I will try to explain all the methods that I know and use in my practice for communication between components.
  • Sharing Data via ViewChild
Property decorator that configures a view query. The change detector looks for the first element or the directive matching the selector in the view DOM. If the view DOM changes, and a new child matches the selector, the property is updated. View queries are set before the ngAfterViewInit callback is called.
ViewChild allows one component to be injected into another, giving the parent access to its attributes and functions. One caveat, however, is that child won’t be available until after the view has been initialized. This means we need to implement the AfterViewInit lifecycle hook to receive the data from the child.

  • Sharing Data via Output() and EventEmitter
Another way to share data is to emit data from the child, which can be listed by the parent. This approach is ideal when you want to share data changes that occur on things like button clicks, form entries, and other user events.

How to call another component function in angular ( Parent > Child )

Hello,

First, what you need to understand the relationships between components. Then you can choose the right method of communication. I will try to explain all the methods that I know and use in my practice for communication between components.

Sharing Data via Input
This is probably the most common method of sharing data. It works by using the @Input() decorator to allow data to be passed via the template.

child.component.ts

This is a very simple method. It is easy to use. We can also catch changes to the data in the child component using ngOnChanges.
But do not forget that if we use an object as data and change the parameters of this object, the reference to it will not change. Therefore, if we want to receive a modified object in a child component, it must be immutable.

Sprint review

Hello,

At the end of the sprint, we perform a sprint review consisting of inspecting the increment and adapting the Product Backlog if necessary. Its maximum duration is 4 hours for a 4-week sprint and a lower maximum duration for shorter sprints. The Product Owner invites key stakeholders. The intention is to gather feedback from them and strengthen collaboration.

Basic in Scrum rules, it says that the entire Scrum team is invited to the sprint review, but in fact in today's Scrum, we’re always trying to invite different customers (key users), stakeholders and even sponsors. This allows information to be shared with as many people as possible.

In general, the Product Owner and the Scrum Master are responsible for inviting the various customers, stakeholders and sponsors to join them during this ceremony. They will create a real link with the various actors essential to the constitution of the product during this ceremony.

When we start doing advanced Scrum and we invite the different stakeholders to join us, it is imperative to do a minimum to present things; your presentation of the work done should take on a commercial aspect. The Product Owner and the Scrum Master will take the opportunity to sell the work carried out.

It is also an opportunity to project ourselves a bit into the future and to discuss the anticipated content of the next sprint which, often, can be influenced by what is demonstrated, the reactions caused by the demonstration, the presentation of the 'increment. It also makes it possible to discuss the difficulties encountered by the Scrum team and to take stock of progress.

SCRUM : Daily Meeting

Hello,
the daily meeting as the name suggests, it takes place every day. This meeting has a maximum duration of 15 minutes. It allows the Development Team to synchronize, measure its daily progress and adjust its action plan accordingly.
The Daily is a daily meeting which usually takes place at the start of the day (except Sprint Planning Day when it does not need to take place). No rule prohibits doing it at 2pm. but it is true that in 99% of cases, Scrum teams do it in the morning.

During this meeting, each member of the Development Team is to answer the following three questions:

  • What did I do yesterday to help the development team achieve the goal or objectives of the current sprint?
  • What will I do today to help the development team achieve the sprint goal?
  • Do I notice any obstacles or technical or even functional problems that could prevent me or the development team from reaching the sprint goal?

It is absolutely not a reporting meeting, but a meeting that belongs to the development team.
As a reminder, the whole team should not take more than 15 minutes for the Daily Scrum. It is generally said that each member should not spend more than two minutes speaking.

Sprint Planning

Hello,
The sprint begins with sprint planning, the maximum duration of which is 8 hours for 4-week sprints. And this duration is proportionately lower for sprints of shorter duration. During this meeting, the Product Owner and the Development Team, assisted if necessary by the Scrum Master, will have to answer three questions.

  • What is the specific objective of the sprint?
  • What priority elements of the Product Backlog can be converted into a potentially deliverable increment during the sprint?
  • How are we going to convert the selected elements into a potentially usable increment by the end of the sprint?

Sprint Planning is the ceremony that the scrum team performs at the opening of Sprint to frame the start sprint. Starting a Sprint without even preparing it has little value, it is difficult to work without having a vision of the work to be done.
As a conclusion we can say that The Sprint Planning is the Scrum ceremony to start a sprint which can last up to 8h for a 4 week sprint. It is often underestimated when it helps structure the entire sprint. In fact, by sending your sprint planning, you risk having less stable sprints and experiencing some unpleasant surprises.

Scrum Ceremonies

Hello,
as you know Agile project management methods break the linearity and predictability of traditional methods (V cycles or W cycles) by offering a very simple and complete iterative development model. among these methods is the Agile Scrum method.

The Scrum offers different ceremonies which aim to organize the work of the teams during the Sprint. There are 4 scrum ceremonies in the base model: the Daily Meeting, the Sprint Planning Meeting, the Sprint Review and the Sprint Retrospective.

Other ceremonies that are increasingly used by Scrum teams considerably strengthen the quality of Scrum on various aspects such as the Product Backlog Refinement or the Priority Meeting.
