Sprint review

Hello,

At the end of the sprint, we perform a sprint review consisting of inspecting the increment and adapting the Product Backlog if necessary. Its maximum duration is 4 hours for a 4-week sprint and a lower maximum duration for shorter sprints. The Product Owner invites key stakeholders. The intention is to gather feedback from them and strengthen collaboration.

Basic in Scrum rules, it says that the entire Scrum team is invited to the sprint review, but in fact in today's Scrum, we’re always trying to invite different customers (key users), stakeholders and even sponsors. This allows information to be shared with as many people as possible.

In general, the Product Owner and the Scrum Master are responsible for inviting the various customers, stakeholders and sponsors to join them during this ceremony. They will create a real link with the various actors essential to the constitution of the product during this ceremony.

When we start doing advanced Scrum and we invite the different stakeholders to join us, it is imperative to do a minimum to present things; your presentation of the work done should take on a commercial aspect. The Product Owner and the Scrum Master will take the opportunity to sell the work carried out.

It is also an opportunity to project ourselves a bit into the future and to discuss the anticipated content of the next sprint which, often, can be influenced by what is demonstrated, the reactions caused by the demonstration, the presentation of the 'increment. It also makes it possible to discuss the difficulties encountered by the Scrum team and to take stock of progress.
