Sprint Planning

Hello,
The sprint begins with sprint planning, the maximum duration of which is 8 hours for 4-week sprints. And this duration is proportionately lower for sprints of shorter duration. During this meeting, the Product Owner and the Development Team, assisted if necessary by the Scrum Master, will have to answer three questions.

  • What is the specific objective of the sprint?
  • What priority elements of the Product Backlog can be converted into a potentially deliverable increment during the sprint?
  • How are we going to convert the selected elements into a potentially usable increment by the end of the sprint?

Sprint Planning is the ceremony that the scrum team performs at the opening of Sprint to frame the start sprint. Starting a Sprint without even preparing it has little value, it is difficult to work without having a vision of the work to be done.
As a conclusion we can say that The Sprint Planning is the Scrum ceremony to start a sprint which can last up to 8h for a 4 week sprint. It is often underestimated when it helps structure the entire sprint. In fact, by sending your sprint planning, you risk having less stable sprints and experiencing some unpleasant surprises.
